The last debut acts to have achieved this feat were Will Young & Gareth Gates, both in 2002. In both cases, they had 2 solo #1s but then collaborated (with each other) for their 3rd #1. Solo act George Michael did it as well, but again his 3rd #1 was a collaboration with Aretha Franklin.
